The Design Services division of University Relations offers design services to the campus of the University of Arkansas. Projects can include brochures, newsletters, magazines and Web sites.
Design Services is also responsible for maintaining the Graphic Standards of the University of Arkansas.
When partnering with a graphic designer, you play an active role in the development of your project. You know your audience and goals better than anyone else, and the designer depends on you to provide expertise in this area. You should be prepared to: define the publication's purpose and audience; determine the budget; communicate with the designer in a timely manner; and meet deadlines.
The role of the designer is to tailor the piece to your audience by creating a an effective publication on time and within budget. The designer is prepared to: create and maintain a production schedule; create an effective and appealing publication; stay within your budget; communicate with you in a timely manner; and meet or exceed deadlines.
